| "Golden Foot" was inspired not only by the strength and beauty of the Grizzly Bear, but also by the fact that many Native American Indian tribes held such reverence for the bear that they would not call it by name. Some referred to it as Golden Feet, along with many other names used by various tribes. Note the unusual natural rainbow that I was able to work into the broadside of the sculpture as I designed and carved the piece. |
